Section 602 Clearances

(1) An employer must ensure the following clearances are maintained along a conveyor belt:

(a) on the travelling side, if rubber-tired vehicles are used, at least 2 metres more than the maximum width of the vehicle;

(b) on the travelling side, if track-guided vehicles are used, not less than 0.3 metres between the vehicle and the conveyor belt;

(c) on the blind side, not less than 0.3 metres.

(2) An employer must ensure that there is a clearance of not less than 0.3 metres between the roof supports and the top of the load carried by a conveyor belt.
