Work Safe Alberta
Work Safe Alberta is a government-led initiative in consultation with industry and labour to help prevent work-related injuries, illnesses and fatalities.
Interactive web-based awareness programs designed to provide Albertans opportunities to gain awareness and knowledge in various occupational health and safety topics. Selected programs are available on CDs or as downloadable files for off-line use.
Each industry sector has specific hazards and issues to be considered. Occupational Health and Safety works with stakeholders to develop initiatives and resources that are designed for certain industries.

Work Safe Alberta Awards
These awards recognize the excellent work being done in the field of occupational health and safety by organizations and individuals in the province and seek to encourage others to follow these examples.
OHS Futures – Research Funding Program
OHS Futures is a research funding program to help support a better understanding of occupational health and safety issues in Alberta’s workplaces. The OHS Futures will distribute up to $1 million per year for three years beginning in 2014.

Occupational Health and Safety Council
The OHS Council is an administrative body, which operates arms length from government. The Council advises the Minister on OHS matters and serves as an appeal body for orders issued by Occupational Health and Safety.
